SEARCH ENGINE & GENERATIVE ENGINE OPTIMISATION

Get found in search. Make sense to AI.

Your customers are asking questions before they ever reach your website. We improve the pages, technical foundations and business information that help them discover you on Google and through AI assisted search, then connect that visibility to useful enquiries.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Search is changing. The foundations still matter.

SEO helps search engines discover and understand your pages. GEO, or generative engine optimisation, focuses on how clearly AI-assisted search can interpret and reference your business. Both start with accessible pages, useful answers and consistent information, not a separate set of magic tricks.

TWO WAYS CUSTOMERS DISCOVER YOU

One business.
More than one search journey.

SEO and GEO work together. Neither is a shortcut to guaranteed placement.

SEO

When someone searches.

A customer might ask“Who can help with the problem I have?”

Search engine optimisation helps search engines discover your pages and understand which questions they answer. We work on the technical foundations, useful content and paths to an enquiry.

Google search · Relevant service searches · Local discovery where applicable
GEO

When someone asks AI.

A customer might ask“What are my options, and which one fits?”

Generative engine optimisation focuses on how clearly AI assisted search can interpret your business and reference your information. The same accessible, accurate website is the starting point.

AI assisted search · Business mentions · Source citations

Google’s AI features use the same SEO foundations. No special AI schema or separate AI file is required. Read Google’s guidance

WHAT WE WORK ON

Built on substance. Not shortcuts.

A focused scope, agreed around your priorities. Here is what that can include.

01

Make your site discoverable

Find the blockers, fix the essentials and give search engines a clear path through your website.

  • Google Search Console setup or access review

02

Answer the right questions

Build useful service pages around what your customers need to know before making an enquiry.

FROM PLAN TO PROGRESS

Clear steps.
Nothing hidden.

We establish a baseline, agree the changes and report what the evidence actually shows.

  1. 01

    Find the gaps

Review your site, audience and existing search data. Record a baseline before changes.

  2. 02

    Agree the priorities

Choose the technical fixes and content opportunities that best fit your services and resources.

  3. 03

    Make the improvements

Implement the agreed changes, check the pages and keep your team involved in content approval.

  4. 04

    Measure and refine

Review search impressions, clicks and agreed enquiry events. Repeat the same AI question sample with its date and context recorded.

PROGRESS YOU CAN UNDERSTAND

Know what changed.
Know what comes next.

We agree the baseline and measures before making changes. Your report should show the work completed, what the data says and the next useful decision.

A search click is not a customer. An AI mention is not a recommendation. We keep those distinctions visible.

A clear review, every time
  • What we improved

Completed technical fixes, updated pages and remaining access or content needs.

  • What search shows

Indexed pages, relevant queries, impressions and clicks from Search Console.

  • What enquiries show

Agreed enquiry or booking events where tracking and consent allow. Attribution limits are recorded.

  • What AI answers show

Repeatable question samples with the tool, prompt and date recorded. No invented universal visibility score.

Reporting outline. No sample performance figures.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Know what
you are getting.

Clear expectations before we start.

Can you guarantee rankings or AI recommendations?

No. Search engines and AI providers decide what they display. Indexing, rankings, citations and recommendations cannot be guaranteed. We focus on useful improvements and transparent reporting.

Does GEO replace SEO?

No. Technical SEO and helpful, reliable content remain important. GEO adds attention to business clarity, source information and the way AI-assisted discovery describes your offer. It does not require a special “AI schema” to appear in Google AI features.

How will I know what is changing?

We agree the reporting sources and measures before starting. These may include Search Console, consent-aware analytics and enquiry events. Sampled AI responses vary by prompt, time and context, so we report them as observations, not a universal visibility score.

Can you work with my existing website?

Yes, subject to access and the limitations of its platform. We prioritise improvements to the site you already have. If a rebuild would be more useful, we explain why and quote it separately.

My business is not showing on Google. Where do we start?

We first check that Google can access the live pages and that there are no indexing blocks. We verify Search Console, submit the sitemap, inspect the important URLs and request indexing where appropriate. Google decides whether and when to index a page. Registration alone does not guarantee that it will appear.

How quickly will I see results?

Some technical issues can be corrected quickly, but crawling, indexing and changes in search performance take time. The starting point, competition and scope all matter. We separate completed work from observed results and do not promise a fixed date or position.

Is this only for Google?

Google search is a useful starting point. We can also scope local business information and discovery through tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Their answers vary, and being accessible does not guarantee a mention or citation. We agree which channels are relevant before starting.
